A photographic record of the legendary Chaos Festival, held at the Salle du Baron in Orléans on 20 October 1984 and organized by the independent punk label Chaos Productions. The book documents a pivotal gathering of the French punk and Oi! scene, featuring Komintern Sect, Camera Silens, Reich Orgasm, Trotskids, Collabos, Sub Kids and Kidnap. Zindel’s photographs capture the atmosphere of the festival from within the crowd and around the stage, preserving an unusually direct visual record of the French underground punk scene of the early 1980s.
