WESSELS, Mariken. Taking Off: Henry my Neighbour.

(No place): Art Paper Editions, 2015.  First edition.  Quarto.  Unpaginated.  Supercool artist’s book that reshapes the archive of Henry who left behind a collection of 5500 photographs of his wife and muse Martha, The work is a powerful meditation on objectivism, obssession and voyeurism.  Illustrated with photographic plates that show repetitive grids of middle-aged Martha posing in quasi-erotic positions, in states of undress at their home in New Jersey, from 1981 to 1983.  The volume also includes 46 of the collage works that Henry compiled from photographs that Martha tore up before leaving him..   A very good copy in wrappers.
