WARHOL, Andy. The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (From A to B and Back Again).

(New York, NY): Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1975.  Second printing.  Octavo.  241 pages.  Warhol’s loosely formed autobiography told with his trademark blend of irony and detachment.  Less a memoir than a collection of riffs and reflections—he talks about love, sex, food, beauty, fame, work, money, and success; about New York, America, and his childhood in McKeesport, Pennsylvania; about his good times and bad in New York, the explosion of his career in the sixties, and his life among celebrities.  A very good copy in dust jacket.  This example inscribed by Warhol to Wessie Connell, ‘bird kisses’ with an original drawing of a bird.  Whilst copies with drawings are not uncommon the drawing are usually of soup cans or hearts and the image here is almost certainly one of a kind.
