(Paris): Heron, 1984. First edition thus. Tarot deck. 12.4cm by 6.4cm. 78 tarot cards based on the Jacques Vieville tarot deck of the rarest decks of the 17th century. The original deck created around 1650 is now housed at the Bibliotheque Nationale. The deck is especially important in the study of early tarot because its imagery differs noticeably from the later and more standardized Tarot de Marseille pattern. All cards in very good condition complete with the 24 page booklet housed in publishers cardboard box. A very good example.
