(San Francisco, CA): Tattoo Art Museum, 1986. First edition. 43 page booklet. Issue nine of this scarce little magazine documenting the history of the art of tattooing. The magazine was edited by Lyle Tuttle who, in many respects, represents the beginning of the tattoo renaissance. This issue includes articles: C.W. Eldridge’s continuing A-Z history of tattooing, Samoan Navel Tattoo by Lefata Moe, tattooist Amund Dietzel, the ‘Master of Milwaukee’, and is illustrated throughout with some scarce imagery. A very good copy in stapled wrappers.
