(Goteborg): Wezatas 1955. First edition. This is the Swedish translation of Tschichold’s “Die Proportionen”. Also published in Dutch in the same year, 1955. It has never been translated into English. Many drawings in the text. The plates show the progress of calligraphy from the 14th century to the 18th. Signed presentation from Jan Tischichold to T.M. Clelland. Clelland was an American book designer, painter, illustrator, and type designer. A nice association copy dated in the year of publication. A very near fine copy in stiff wrappers with French flaps. T.M. Clelland’s bookplate to the front flap.
