STOOP, R. Olaf . Real Free Press Illustratie.
(Amsterdam): Real Free Press, 1968 – 1974. First editions. Folio. Issues 1-6 all published. A complete run of this Dutch Underground publication reportedly financed primarily on dope money. Stoop, a lifelong anarchist, was the founder of the Dutch alternative comics scene and the issues here showcase the work of many of the Dutch underground artists, whilst also reprinting works by Robert Crumb, Gilbert Shelton, Rodriguez Spain, S. Clay Wilson, Ron Cobb as well as an illustrated version of Terry Southern's Red Dirt Marijuana. Also included are a number of articles reproduced from the Underground Press Syndicate. Text a mix of Dutch and English. All issues in at least very good condition. Published over six years, complete sets are scarce. Worldcat locates no complete sets, (other than microfilmed versions), outside The Netherlands.
