(New York, NY): Macmillan Company, 1933.  First edition.  Hardcover.  20cm by 14.5cm.  214 pages.  An important work, considered the first book on Sherlock Holmes scholarship, as well as a cornerstone of the study of Sherlockiana. It has been credited with jumpstarting the creation of Sherlockian Societies.  A very good copy, previous owner’s name to front endpaper, in a good example of the scarce jacket, with chipping and loss to edges of front panel, including title, a little darkened at spine with some fading to spine lettering.
