SAMIOF, Steven and Melanie NISSEN. Slash.

(Los Angeles, CA): Slash, 1978. First edition. Tabloid fanzine. 35 pages. Volume two, number three. Cool issue of this cult magazine that was the underground voice of the Los Angeles Punk Scene 1977-1980. Slash set trends not only in music, but also in street fashion and visual art. It offered tirades against the corrupt music industry and its stars along with endless rants in favour of turning the status quo upside down. This issue features an interview with Talking Heads, an interview with Howard Werth, a Go-Go’s centerfold poster as well as Jimbo cartoon by Gary Panther, reviews of singles, albums, and concerts. A good copy with cover art by Jaohn van Hamersveld.  Some ruffling to page edges, some loss to bottom edge of last page
