ROE, Dave. Isle of Wight Festival of Music.

(No place): Fiery Creations Limited, 1969. First edition. Oblong quarto. Unpaginated. Scarce promotional programme booklet for the second Isle of Wight Festival of Music which took place over the weekend from 29th to 31st August. The festival was seen as Britain’s answer to Woodstock, coming just two weeks after the three days of peace and music. The event also marked something of a mini comeback for Bob Dylan who headlined the Sunday concert. Other bands included The Who, King Crimson and the Moody Blues, Julie Felix, Fat Mattress and others. A very good copy in stapled wrappers featuring Roe’s psychedelic winged King Kong design roaring over a blazing cityscape. Uncommon.
