The photographs were captured over a few hours on December 13, 2014, during a significant civil rights protest in Washington, D.C., following events in Ferguson. Rizzi’s images offer a poignant narrative that intertwines the political atmosphere of the demonstration with a personal dimension, reflecting his relationship with an Italo-African-American writer.
