RHODES, Nick. Interference.

(London): Michael Joseph, 1984. First edition. Hardcover. 24 by 20.2cm. Unpaginated. The uncommon first edition of Nick Rhodes’ first book, published at the height of Duran Duran’s international success but revealing a markedly different facet of the musician’s creative practice. Comprising a sequence of abstract colour photographs derived from distorted television images, the work explores the aesthetic possibilities of electronic interference, colour and light, reflecting Rhodes’ longstanding interest in experimental photography and contemporary art. Issued to coincide with his 1984 exhibition at the Hamiltons Gallery, London. A very good copy in dust jacket. Scarce particularly in hardcover.
