DOVE, John and Molly. Boy Blackmail.

(London): Boy, 1981. Second edition.  Spiral bound mail order catalogue including Kitsch-22 designs. Kitsch-22 were John and Molly Dove who created the infamous ‘Breasts’ t-shirt which was originally sold at the Paradise Garage, and is included in this catalogue. (Vivienne Westwood is often incorrectly credited with design for this t-shirt).  When the BOY store opened on the Kings Rd in 1976 it became epicentre of a new dawn in both fashion and music, defining the spirit of punk and birthing the New Romantic scene that appeared in its wake. This is second Boy catalogue, twice as thick and twice as good as the first, and without doubt the best record of early 80s fashion and is quite probably the best fashion mail order catalogue ever produced. Cool 80s clothing styled by Sadie Frost, Soo Catwoman and Sue Suby Barnes amongst others. The Dove’s sold Boy to Stephane Raynor in 1983. This is a near fine example.  A sought after, and landmark fashion catalogue seldom found in this condition..
