PUNKPISTOL. Sex & Seditionaries: The Incomplete Sordid Works of Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren

Controversial work showcasing the clothing of Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm Mclaren. It has subsequently been claimed that much of the clothing illustrated is possibly fake and McLaren prevented a US edition of the book appearing. The books author, Punkpistol (Simon Easton) become embroiled in a dispute with Damien Hirst whom having purchased a substantial amount of clothing from Simon Easton, some of which is illustrated in the book, later discovered that a great majority, according to Malcom Mclaren, were possibly fake. Nevertheless the book is a great documentation of punk fashion and the work of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood. This is a fine copy in illustrated boards, lacking the distressed paper wrapper, housed in publisher’s clamshell box.  Box with some wear along edges.
