PRICE, Ken. Figurine Cups.

(Los Angeles, CA): Gemini G.E.L., 1970.  First edition.  Softcover.  24.5cm by 17.4cm.  Card folder containing a four-page insert that features a portrait of Ken, and an essay by the art critic and historian Barbara Rose. Together with six loose images reproducing Price’s Figurine Cup Series in which cups are adorned by nude women.  The prints were issued by Gemini in 1970  In order to produce these prints, Price had Gemini construct a massive plaster replica of a ceramic cup of his own design. Price then posed and photographed a nude model with the giant plaster cup.  A very good copy of this prospectus.  Items housed in publisher’s die cut card stock portfolio.  Portfolio case showing some wear.
