PRESSER, Beat. The Village Cry.

(Basel): Palm Beach Productions, 1977. First edition. Folio.  51 pages.  Issue four for June / July, 1977.  In 1976, the Swiss photographer Beat Presser launched a large-format, black and white publication called The Village Cry. Taking inspiration from Marshall McLuhan’s ‘Global Village’ concept, it would soon brim with contributions by renowned fashion photographers, actors, architects, and visual artists.  This issue is referred to the movie issue and includes photographic images of Klaus Kinski on the
filmset of “Madame Claude” and a fold-out Kinski poster.  A very good copy.  .
