The volume documents the hipsters who hung out at Club Hey, a gay bar that became an important meeting place for the city’s nascent punk and alternative music scene. The portraits are interspersed with views of Zurich’s modernist housing estates, creating a striking juxtaposition between the youthful subcultures of the late 1970s and the architecture of the city in which they lived.
