MARHAUG, Lasse. Personal Best: Noise Music and Beyond.

[Oslo, Norway]: Marhaug Forlag, 2011 – 2023.  First edition.  Softcover.  28.5cm by 21cm.  Various paginations.  Ten volumes.  Issues 1-10 (all published) of this the highly-regarded and visually striking magazine edited and published by Norwegian noise artist and graphic designer Lasse Marhaug. Spanning over a decade, this complete run offers a vivid documentary record of the international noise and experimental music scenes, blending in-depth interviews, essays, visual art, and irreverent side trips into the peripheries of avant-garde sound, and underground culture.  Each issue features a diverse range of contributors from around the world—including artists, musicians, sound theorists, and provocateurs—presented with Marhaug’s signature graphic flair. Subjects range from legendary figures such as Peter Brötzmann, GX Jupitter-Larsen, Otomo Yoshihide, and Phill Niblock to emerging and fringe voices across experimental sound, performance, and art. Themes include the aesthetics of noise, touring in extreme conditions, sound art theory, and personal reflections on artistic life outside the mainstream.  All issues in very good condition, nicks at spine to some issues.  The early issues are now difficult to locate and complete sets are rare.
