J.SON. “Hello! My Name Is…”

(New York, NY): Franklin Furnace, no date. (1988). Scarce sticker invitation card for the exhibition of graffiti stickers from the collection of Adam Buckman, Norm Magnusson, and Harley Spiller. The invitation in the form of a sticker is for the opening party on September 23rd, 1988 and features artwork by J.Son. White card printed with blue ink, measures approx. 4″ by 6″. The card is addressed to Jerald Ordover who practiced law in New York City, representing many of the leading artists and galleries of the latter half of the twentieth century. He was legal counsel to Leo Castelli, his gallery, and many of his artists. He was a ubiquitous presence at gallery openings throughout the city from the earliest days of SoHo to the beginnings of the Chelsea art district. Unpeeled, and not cut out, scarce thus.
