Classic work, combining DeCarava's beautiful and sympathetic photographs, of everyday life in Harlem, with Langston Hughes, prose – poem text. Signed by DeCarava on the title-page. A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket. Jacket is chipped at the spine head with a some loss, and rubbed along the edges. Laid-in is a two page press release for the Major restrospective exhibition of Roy DeCarava's photographs at the Witkin Gallery in 1982.
