Cool little artist’s book illustrating photographs that were developed from a set of negatives that were found on a street in Amsterdam in June, 1981. The photographs are shown alongside manipulated texts from a Time magazine article, The Economy of Human Rights (Chomsky / Herman), Englisch fur Mediziner, Machinery’s Handbook, The Ananga Ranga (Malla), Discussing Soviet Literature (Bondarev), A criticism of the contemporary British Artist (John Blake), Charm – The Key to Popularity, King Solomon’s Mines (Haggard), and Proteus (West). The images were originally exhibited under the title ‘Police / Having Fun’ in the Schleswig Holsteinischer Kunstverin, Kunsthalle zu Kiel, West Germany, on the 25th April, 1982 in the exhibition, ‘kunstler arbeiten mit fotos’. A near fine copy in stapled wrappers. Published in a limited edition, although limitation not stated. Uncommon.
