HARING, Keith. Keith Haring’s Fun Book.
(Latresne, Paris): CAPC Musee d’Art Contemporain, 1985. First edition. Folio. A collection of 12 black-and-white drawings, plus the elaborate front cover. The original illustrations, depicting children and animals in Haring’s dynamic signature style, are designed to be finished and coloured by children. Because most of the 2000 copies of this book issued in 1985 served their purpose as children’s activity books, the few remaining intact copies have become rare collectibles. Cool volume reflecting Haring’s involvement with children and his desire to make his iconic imagery accessible to a wide range of people. A very good copy, scarce uncoloured.
