HALFIN, Ross. The Who Live.
(Guildford, Surrey): Genesis Publications, 2000. First edition. Quarto. 183 pages. Foreword by Pete Townsend. Texts by Glyn Johns, Ross Halfin, Matt Kent. Super cool photographic documentation of the band’s performances from the early days in the ‘Sixties through to Pete Townshend’s Lifehouse shows at Sadler’s Wells in London. The emphasis, is though, on the legendary tours of the Seventies when the band were labelled the greatest live rock’n’roll band in the world. A near fine copy bound in quarter black morocco with gilt-titled backstrip, over paper sides reproducing the cover art of the original 1970 LP which was designed to resemble a bootleg recording. Complete with errata slip and CD of The Who Live at Leeds, pressed in gold laid-in. All items housed in the publisher’s slipcase featuring a collage of who images. Published in an edition of 1500 numbered copies signed by the photographer.
