GRUBER, Assaf. Studies in Sculpture: 22 Fragments.

(Berlin): Kunstlerhaus Bethanian, 2012.  First edition.  Hardcover.  24cm by 16.4cm.  62 pages.  An exploration of Assaf Gruber’s conceptual artwork, the volume documents the artist’s project Studies in Sculpture through a collection of 22 cinematic excerpts reimagined as sculptural fragments. Curated with insight from Esther Dotan and Emmanuel Guy, the text delves into Gruber’s strategy of extracting objects and scenes from films and transforming them into virtual sculptures—“sculpture‑on‑hold”—displayed on pedestals. The work meditates on the nature of presence, movement, and the cinematic gesture, challenging aesthetic norms and inviting viewers into a dynamic dialogue with form and narrative. A very good copy in black boards.  Published in an edition of 500 copies.
