GRIMAUD, B.P. The Book of Fate or Livre du Destin.

(Paris): Chartier-Marteau & Boudin, no date. (c.1890).  First edition.  Deck of 32 cards. A nice, complete, set of these early divination cards.   Each card is printed with unique hand-coloured engravings of figures in period dress, with inset of traditional playing card to top left, and title text in English and French. The cards, all in very good condition with tax stamp (dated 1890) to the money card (No. 16) as issued.  The cards measure 11cm by 7cm.  32 printed cards one blank card, housed in publisher’s telescopic box with printed label.
