GOODMAN, Chip. Rush: The Magazine of High Entertainment.
(New York, NY): Swank Magazine Corp / Rush Magazine, Inc., 1976-1977. First edition. Quarto. Four volumes. Issues 1-4 all published. Scarce complete set of this drug magazine, although short-lived Rush was the most prominent competitor to High Times and contained some really cool articles, ‘confessions of an acid alchemist, ‘busted in Beirut’, ‘ethnic munchies’ (what Italians, Puerto Ricans, and Wasps eat when they’re high) stoned etiquette (should you offer your mother a joint?), ‘how to score hash in Morocco’ ‘how to roll hash joints’ (European style), Miss Stoned Universe contest, Spaceball cards (intact) joint aeroplanes (uncut). The magazines are also notable for including an illustrated (Malcolm McNeil) version of Ah Pook is Here, and Cobble Stone Gardens by William S. Burroughs. All issues in at least very good condition. Scarce as a complete set.
