A thought-provoking photographic documentation of The Wick’s strangely self-sufficient world and the frenetic activity of the people who occupy it.  Shot on a Bakelite camera that Gill purchased at the local market for 50p.  The resulting photographs from the no-frills camera reflect the energy and chaos and the fragility of the environment.  A near fine copy in decorated boards.  This example signed by the photographer on the front pastedown.
