(Chicago, IL): Tulip Press, 1982.  First edition.  Small oblong quarto.  Unpaginated.  Photographic volume of urban landscapes that fall into distinct categories, however the categories she choses do not fit into an objective or logical order, her category “signs” for example show blank signs that are not signs but shapes stressing their visual rather than verbal qualities.  The volume is thus a satiric commentary on the categorizing prevalent in Western civilization, particularly art history.  A near fine copy in spiral bound wrappers.  This example inscribed by Gretchen on the title-page with a letter from Gretchen to the recipient of the book laid-in.
