FLANDERS, Annie. Details.

(New York, NY): Details Publishing Corp. 1982-1983. First editions. Quarto. Seven issues. The entire first volume: issue 1, June, 1982 – issue 7, March, 1983. New York’s black and white version of I.D. and The Face magazine, Details is an incredible chronicle of downtown New York’s edgy fashion and nightlife scene. The mainstay of the magazine were Stephen Saban’s nightclub and party column and the photography of Bill Cunningham. Regular contributors included Cookie Mueller, Mick Farren, and Michael Musto and issue 3 includes an early Bruce Weber portfolio. All the early issues, are now very scarce and highly desirable a complete run of the first volume would be very difficult to ensemble. This is the first we have seen offered for sale for many years. All copies here in at least very good plus condition in champagne-coloured, marble effect stapled wrappers. A very nice set of the earliest issues this irreverent, avant-garde fashion magazine.
