(Milton Keynes): The Open University Press, 1982.  First edition.  Oblong quarto.  224 pages.  Little known yet photographic and narrative description of life in Britain’s inner cities.  The volume deals with poverty and urban decay in London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow and Belfast.  Illustrated with moving black and white images by Nicholas Battye, Chris Steele-Perkins and Paul Trevor.  A very good plus copy in printed wrappers.
