DYLAN, Bob. Tarantula.

(Vancouver, BC): Georgia Straight, 1970. First edition. Tabloid format. 16 pages. One of the scarcest, of the many, bootleg editions of Tarantula, Dylans experimental prose poetry collection that was eventually published by Macmillan in 1971 (having been written between 1965 and 1966). The Georgia Straight had earlier published excerpts from the work but had received cease and desist letters from Dylan’s lawyers, some of which are included in this publication. Despite the earlier claims of unauthorised publication the newspaper went ahead and published this edition as a supplement to the regular edition of Georgia Straight (issue for Dec 2nd – 9th). Just the supplement offered here, in very good condition.
