d’ANCONA, Hedy, Wim Hora ADEMA and Ad WERNER. OPZIJ. Radikaal feministisch maandblad.

[Amsterdam]: Opzij, 1972. First edition. Softcover. 30cm by 14.7cm. 24 pages. The inaugural issue of the most influential feminist periodical published in the Netherlands. Founded at the beginning of the Dutch second-wave feminist movement the magazine was launched as a “radikaal feministisch maandblad”, Opzij combined political commentary, reportage and essays advocating equal pay, reproductive rights, childcare, sexual autonomy and women’s participation in public life. Although initially conceived as an activist publication, Opzij evolved into the leading feminist magazine in the Dutch-speaking world, with the word “radikaal” later disappearing from the cover while its commitment to feminist issues remained. A very good copy in stapled wrappers.
