D’AGOSTIN, Renato. Proxemics.

(Paris): The(M) Éditions, 2016. First edition.  Softcover. 30cm by 23cm.  [112]-pages. Cool photobook exploring the interplay between proximity and distance, the volume presents a series of black-and-white images that blur the lines between reality and abstraction. D’Agostin’s photographs evoke a film noir aesthetic, capturing enigmatic figures and urban landscapes that challenge the viewer’s perception of space and intimacy. Text in Italian, French, English, and Japanese.  The volume was published in a limited edition of 160 numbered copies, the first 40 copies include the “Shanghai 2012” print (20 × 30 cm), while copies numbered, as here, 41 to 200 with the “Paris 2002” print (11 × 17 cm). A very good copy in wrappers, housed in folding card case secured with large black band, with the  publishers clear bag.
