It was (re-)published on the occasion of the exhibition This is Tomorrow that explored through the Whitechapel’s archive the original exhibition. The catalogue, as much as the exhibition, has become iconic, marking the beginning of a new spirit not only in British art but in the whole concept of installation. The exhibition featured work by Richard Hamilton, Erno Goldfinger, Victor Pasmore, Paolozzi, Anthony Jackson, Germano Facetti, Theo Crosby, John Ernest, William Turnbull.
