(New York, NY): Muzeum 51X, [1984].  First edition.  Invite card.  Very rare (post)card announcing the opening of Muzeum 51X (at 51 St. Marks Place) March 8, [1984].  Muzeum 51X evolved from 51X Gallery, which was a storefront gallery on St. Marks Place established by Rich Colicchio, and was among the first artist-run galleries in East Village. Its presence and shows were crucial in shaping the Graffiti movement in the context of the Downtown Scene. The card is for the opening reception with works by the likes of Futura 2000, Dondi White, Zephyr, Revolt, Fred Brathwaite and others.  The card measures approx. 11cm by 15cm and is in very good condition.
