A beautiful edition of Carroll’s classic tale, Illustrated with six original colour lithographs by Marie Laurencin printed by Desjobert of Paris. Out of a total edition of 790 copies this is copy number two of fifty copies on Japan vellum (of 370) for distribution in Europe. The famous Laurencin lithographs benefit significantly from their appearance on Japan vellum in this uncommon issue, which does not suffer from the foxing that frequently defaces the copies on paper. This a fine example in card covers with original glassine and number ticket present, housed in publisher’s pink paper covered chemise and slipcase. A exceptional copy of this beautiful edition.
