A complete set of this rare and short-lived French Journal that attempted to capture the vibrant intersection of fashion, music, nightlife, cinema, art, architecture, and gastronomy in early 1980s Paris. Issue No. 1 was edited by Jean-Yves Carrier and featured contributions from notable figures such as Jane Birkin, Cornette de Saint Cyr, Edith Nylon, Quasar, Emmanuelle Khanh, Nathalie Barney, Michel Barnes, and Patrice Calmettes. Photographers included Patrick Sarfati, Philippe Djamounoff, Jean-Daniel Lorieux, Bertrand Dupaysan, and Dominique Lauga. The issue also contained an advertisement for the famed nightclub Le Palace, and an announcement for Dominique Lauga’s book Au bout de la nuit Le Palace. Issue No. 2 saw François Raych as editor-in-chief. It featured pieces on Alfred Hitchcock, and Muhammad Ali. Hair and Fashion visuals as well as photographs by Tim Street-Porter and Elliott Erwitt. Very good copies of this rare jornal that offered a snapshot of Parisian culture in the early 80s.
