It seeks to penetrate beyond tourist clichés, offering intimate, often nocturnal views of the city’s hidden corners, urban subcultures, private lives, and altered social spaces: a “mycelium of existences,” as Caimi & Piccinni describe it.  The images — raw, direct, often intense — evoke a cinematic, neorealist atmosphere, recalling post-war Italian cinematic traditions rather than romanticised urban postcards.  A very good copy in boards.
