BURROUGHS, William. Junkie.

(London): The New English Library, 1966.  First edition thus.  Paperback original.  159 pages.  Issued as part of the Olympia Press, Traveller’s Companion Series.  Originally published in 1953 as an Ace paperback this is the acclaimed author’s first book, in contrast to the hallucinated style of his later works this, is a spare, Hemingwayesque account of the drug underworlds of New York City (and elsewhere). A legendary work of drug literature.  A near fine copy in olive green wrappers.
