Rather than a conventional biography, the volume functions as an artist’s book, bringing together photography, interviews, essays, and original contributions that explore the creative world surrounding the Icelandic musician. The design, by the Paris studio M/M is integral to the work, presenting a richly layered visual narrative. Illustrated with photographs by Nick Knight, Nobuyoshi Araki, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Chris Cunningham, Rankin, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Anton Corbijn, Juergen Teller, and others. Includes contributions from Michel Gondry, David Attenborough, Rei Kawakubo, Hussein Chalayan, and several of Björk’s artistic collaborators. A very good copy in limp boards with linen jacket.
