BESSEL, Bunk. Low lands Flight to Paradise.

(Utrecht): 1967. Flyer for the very first Lowlands music festival. The festival was in the Margriethal of Jaarbeurs Utrecht. The entry fee was 10 guilders (approximately 4.50 euros), including breakfast. This 18-hour-long event had no top-acts but included experimental theatre, dancing, poetry, films, body painting, lights, and massage. UK acts included, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Social Deviants, and The Exploding Galaxy String Band. Pink Floyd played the following year, but attempts to get Jimi Hendrix failed. Poster measures, approx. 31cm by 25cm some loss to bottom right corner, and some short tears to edges. Some age toning to paper. Scarce artifact from the Sixties festival scene.
