BERLIN, Irving. Sunshine.

(Paris): Francis-Day (S.A.)., 1928.  First edition thus.  Sheet music. 4-pages.  Musical score for this Jazz Age song;  “Chase the blues, find a sunny place, go paint your face with sunshine, pay your doctor bills, then throw away your pills, you can cure your ailments, with the sun… “. The conductor Paul Whiteman recorded it with his jazz big band, and the close harmony voices of The Rhythm Boys ( composed of Bing Crosby, Al Rinker and Harry Barris ), one of the first successes of Bing Crosby, then aged 25, before his long career as a solo crooner. A very good example with Art Deco cover art.  OCLC locates copies of this edition at the Bibliotheque National de France and the Netherlands Muziek Institute.    .
