BABA, Meher. God in a Pill?

(San Francisco): Sufism Reoriented, Inc., 1966.  First edition.  Booklet.  11 pages.  Baba was an Indian spiritual master who claimed to be the Avatar, or God in human form, his name spread throughout the Counterculture of the 1960s. Baba’s image appeared in the documentary film Woodstock, and also on the cover of Rolling Stone.  The volume here reprints his quotes, and opinions on drugs, he disparaged the view that hallucinogenic and psychedelic drugs, especially LSD, but also marijuana, psilocybin, and other drugs, might be used to elicit meaningful spiritual insight.  A very good copy in stapled wrappers, signs of (price) label removal from rear cover.
