ANGER, Kenneth. Hollywood Babylone.
(Paris): Regine Deforges, 1977. Second French edition. Square 12mo. 247 pages. A controversial classic of film history that details the sordid scandals of many famous and infamous Hollywood denizens from the 1900s to the 1950s. The volume was published in the U.S. in 1965 and promptly got banned. Anger’s sensationalistic swipe at Hollywood, is packed with photos, gritty detail, and innuendo. This is a very good copy in pictorial wrappers with photo-illustrated dust jacket. Jacket with some fading to the red lettering.
