ANGER, Kenneth. Hollywood Babylone.

(Paris): J.J. Pauvert, 1959. First edition. Small square octavo. 247 pages. A controversial classic of film history that details the sordid scandals of many famous and infamous Hollywood denizens from the 1900s to the 1950s. The volume wasnt published in the U.S. until 1965 and promptly banned, a second edition was issued ten years later. Anger’s sensationalistic swipe at Hollywood, is packed with photos, gritty detail, and innuendo. This is a very good copy with in plain brown wrappers with photo-illustrated dust jacket.  Some minor edgewear, small chip at base of spine but otherwise a nice bright copy of this now scarce first edition.
