Interesting insight into a bygone era, when musicians travelled by bus, casually helped each other with lyrics, carried their own stage outfits and were backed by the local orchestra. The text is superbly illustrated with Lew Allen’s photographs of Elvis and other stars of the era. This is one of 350 copies, signed by Allen and McCarthy, and includes three photographic prints featuring Elvis, The Everly Brothers and Bobby Darin, signed and numbered by Allen. A near fine copy fully-bound in blue suede with silver tooling and page edging. Housed in publisher’s box and drawstring sac.
