Four chapters anchor the issue, each paired with an essay and original photography: the theatrical, narrative-driven design of Alexander McQueen; the anonymity and deconstruction that defined Maison Martin Margiela under Martin Margiela himself; the dark, hyper-sexualized glamour of Tom Ford’s tenure at Gucci; and the austere, poetic uniformity of Ann Demeulemeester.
