A gleefully transgressive parody of Voltaire’s Candide, the novel follows the sexually innocent Candy Christian through a succession of increasingly absurd encounters, combining erotic satire with an assault on conventional American morality. The UK edition coincided with the release of the controversial film adaptation, starring Ewa Aulin, Marlon Brando, Richard Burton and Ringo Starr. This a very good copy in second issue dust jacket with mention of the film.
