Issue 4 of this groundbreaking feminist underground comix series widely regarded as one of the earliest and most influential women-produced underground comic anthologies. Conceived as a direct response to the male-dominated and frequently misogynistic underground comix scene of the late 1960s and early 1970s, Tits & Clits approached sexuality, reproductive politics, menstruation, abortion, masturbation, and domestic life from an explicitly female perspective. Long controversial for both its title and subject matter, the comic faced censorship pressures and limited distribution despite substantial underground readership.
