Rather than offering documentary commentary, Feldmann’s subtle curatorial approach lets the juxtaposition of images work as a form of wry social observation, addressing the cultural ubiquity and rituals of smoking during a time of increasing public health restrictions. Illustrated with around 120 photographic plates. A very good copy in photo-illustrated boards.
